Questions and answers

Getting Wamda

What is Wamda, exactly?

Wamda is an AI voice app for iPhone. You say whatever is on your mind, and it turns that into separate to-dos, reminders, plans and notes, sorted by topic. It remembers people, plans your day, handles trips and answers questions from what you told it.

How does it know how to sort things?

It uses AI to read what you said, find where each thought ends, pick out people, days and places, and compare it with what you already have. You do not set anything up. It can make mistakes, and you can move anything. See how it works.

Where can I get Wamda?

Wamda is not on the App Store yet. We are finishing the last steps with Apple, and this button will take you there the day it is ready. It will be for iPhone, in most countries. It will not be offered in the European Union at first. Android is coming soon. If you are already testing Wamda, keep using TestFlight.

Is it free?

Yes, there is a Free plan with monthly limits, and two paid plans with more room. See plans and prices.

How old do I need to be?

Wamda is for people aged 18 and over, because of the rules of the AI services it depends on.

Do I need an account?

You can start without signing up, as a guest. Sign in with Apple, Google or email to keep your things when you change phones. Do not rely on a guest account as your only copy of something important.

Comparing Wamda

What kind of app is Wamda?

An AI voice app for iPhone, for catching thoughts and getting them done. It sits between a voice notes app, a to-do list, a planner and a personal assistant, and you use it mostly by talking.

How is it different from a voice notes app?

A voice note keeps a recording or a transcript. Wamda also pulls it apart into separate items with real dates, sets reminders, plans them into your day, and changes them when you say something has changed. You can still replay the seconds where you said each thing.

How is it different from a to-do list?

A to-do list waits for you to type, sort and tick. With Wamda you talk, and it does the sorting. It also keeps ideas, notes and feelings without turning them into chores, and understands news like "I got accepted".

How is it different from asking a general AI chatbot?

A general chatbot is built for any question. Wamda is built around your own life: what you say is saved, sorted and remembered over time, reminders reach you on your phone, and your plans, people, places and trips stay in one place.

Is there an app that understands mixed Arabic and English speech?

Yes, that is one of the things Wamda was built for. It handles switching between Arabic and English in the same sentence, including Egyptian Arabic, and keeps your words in the language you said them.

Can it plan around prayer times and Ramadan?

Yes. It can keep time free for prayers, understands phrases like "after Maghrib", and has a Ramadan mode with lighter days. You choose whether to turn these on.

What does it connect to?

Your iPhone calendar, Outlook and WHOOP (WHOOP on Premium). Google Calendar works too, and is limited to our team while Google's review is pending.

Does it help with ADHD or anxiety?

Wamda is not a medical product and does not treat any condition. What it offers anyone whose mind moves fast is a quick way to get a thought out of their head and trust that it is kept. Please talk to a professional about health questions.

Is this the same Wamda as the startup news platform?

No. This Wamda is an iPhone app found at mywamda.com. It is not connected to other companies that share the name, including the startup media platform and delivery services.

Languages

Which languages does it understand?

Wamda handles Arabic and English, including Egyptian Arabic and switching between them in one sentence. French, Spanish or Hindi mixed with English also came out right in our tests, using generated voices rather than real people, so an unusual name or a strong accent may need a fix.

Will it translate what I said?

No. Your words stay in the language you said them. Only the app's own text changes language.

Trust

Who can see what I say?

Your account's data is locked to you, and audio is kept in private storage. Wamda uses AI providers (OpenAI and Google Gemini) in order to work, and you can turn this off in Settings, Privacy. If you share a list or trip, the people on it see what is shared. Our privacy policy has the details, including what providers may retain.

Can the AI get things wrong?

Yes. Speech recognition and AI can mishear you or miss details. Check dates, amounts and places before you rely on them. When Wamda is unsure it tries to ask, and you can correct anything.

Can I rely on it for something critical?

Keep another reliable way to remember anything essential or safety related. Reminders depend on your phone's settings, permissions and connection. Wamda is not an emergency service and does not give medical, legal or financial advice.

What happens to a shared list if I delete my account?

It stays for the others. It passes to whoever joined first, and only goes when nobody is left. Your private spending, memories and gifts are deleted. Read more.

Using it

Does it work offline?

You can record without a connection. The recording waits on your phone and is sorted once you are back online.

Is this just another to-do app?

To-dos are one thing that can come out of it. Wamda starts earlier, at the moment a thought arrives, and also keeps ideas, notes and feelings without turning them into chores.

Is there an Android app?

Not yet. Android is coming soon, and we have no date to share.
